251ST BIRTHDAY BALL
The 251st Birthday Ball, hosted by the Mesquite Nevada Marines, will take place on November 10th at the Eureka Casino and Resort in the Eureka Grand Ballroom.
The evening will begin with a Social Hour/Check-in/Raffle from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, followed by a Cocktail Hour from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM. At 5:30 PM, the Ceremony and Dinner will commence, lasting until 7:30 PM, and the event will conclude with dancing from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
The dress code for the evening is Business Casual. The Guest of Honor for the event will be Captain David Zimmerman.

David Zimmermann graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1992, was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, and achieved the rank of Captain while serving as a designated F/A-18D Weapons Sensors Officer.
In 1997, Captain Zimmermann transitioned into the civilian world and began working for United Space Alliance as a flight controller for the International Space Station program at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
In 1999, Zimmermann was appointed as a Special Agent (SA) with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). From 1999 to 2013, SA Zimmermann served as a field investigator in two FBI field offices working mainly counterterrorism and cyber matters. SA Zimmermann was a certified SWAT operator and Crisis Management team member in both FBI field offices. In 2013, SA Zimmermann was promoted and reported to London, England, as an Assistant Legal Attaché (ALAT) responsible for working counterterrorism matters with British and Irish partners.
In 2017, ALAT Zimmermann graduated with high merit from King’s College London (KCL) with an MA in Terrorism, Security, and Society and in 2018 he was named a Visiting Senior Research Fellow in KCL’s War Studies Department.

Upon completion of his tour in London in 2018, SA Zimmermann returned to the U.S. and continued to work counterterrorism investigations. In 2020, SA Zimmermann was again promoted and reported to Tel Aviv, Israel, as the ALAT responsible for working counterterrorism matters with Israeli partners. From October 2023 to July 2024, in coordination with Israeli and U.S. partners, ALAT Zimmermann led the FBI’s Israel-based wartime efforts to seek the release/return of 255 innocent hostages held by Hamas terrorists.
In July 2024, ALAT Zimmermann retired from the FBI. During his FBI career, ALAT Zimmermann received almost two dozen awards and commendations, including the Attorney General’s Award, the FBI Director’s award, the State Department Superior Honor Award, New Scotland Yard SO15 Commander’s Commendation, the FBI Medal of Excellence, the Director of National Intelligence’s (DNI) Mission Integration Unit Citation, and the DNI’s National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation.
In September 2024, Zimmermann founded his own consulting firm, Zimmermann Consulting LLC, providing national security expertise to a diverse client base including renowned technology firms, leaders in academia, governments, and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
